It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion Haviland Dowell (Middleton, Nova Scotia), who passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Arthur F. Whiston and Flora K. H. Whiston (MacDonald); and her husband William R. "Bill" Dowell. She is survived by: her sister Barbara Whiston; her children, Heather Banks (Steven), Michael Dowell (Michelle) and Jeffery Dowell (Jennifer); her stepdaughters, Lorraine Kinsman (Mike), Alberta, Jennifer Wood (Gene), Kingston, Mary Vaughn (Danny) and Aylesford Lake; and her grandchildren, Jaymee-Lynne, Brandon, Bailey, Callie, Robbie, Nakia, Kent, Kate, Karlie, Joelle, Nicholas, Jason and Natasha. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
