He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Spencer and Gladys Spencer (Jamieson); his wife Lillian (Nowe); his brother Eldon "Eddy" (Shirley Spencer); and his siblings-in-law, Peggy (Richard Watson) and Calvin "Sonny" Nowe Jr. A.
He is survived by: his daughter Shirley Anne Myers (Keith); his grandchildren, Adena Wilson (Mark) and Matthew Myers (Shannon); his great grandchildren, Regan, Camden Wilson, Halle and Lucy Myers; his sister Shirley Restrick; and his sister-in-law Julia White. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, the Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
