He was predeceased by : his parents, Pastor Norman Elms and Marion "Mamie" Elms (Ashe) of Monastery; and his brother Thomas Ashe. He is survived by : his siblings, Randy Ashe and Marilyn Medley; his nephews, Sterling Medley and Jason Ashe (Beth); his aunts, Helen Elms and Laura Daye; and his uncle Russell Elms (Angela).

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to The Canadian Amyloidosis Support Network, Inc. (CASN).
