With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Theodore Mattie of Monastery, Nova Scotia, born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 5, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, John Mattie and Anna Mattie (Delorey); his wife Florence Horne; his daughter Bernadette Horne; and his brother James "Jimmy".
He is survived by : his sons, John Horne (Charlene), Terry Horne and Ottawa; his grandchildren, James, Darren, Lily Horne and Johnny Mattie; his great grandchildren, Laylah and Haven Mattie; his siblings, Ray (Geraldine) of Monastery, Bernie (Lorna) of Monastery, Earl of Monastery, Gerard (Gaye) of Monastery, Everett (Rose) of Monastery, Theresa Vierimaa of Alberta, Ann Delorey of Alberta, Ellen LaRiveria (Ed) of Alberta and Diane Cromarty (Terry) of Alberta; and his niece Cathy Bowman (Alvin). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Social distancing protocols must be followed, and masks are mandatory.
