It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Joseph Mattie (Monastery, Nova Scotia), born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 25, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas Mattie; his godchild Donna Marie Grace; his father-in-law Walter Dan MacDonald; and his grandparents, Lena Mattie, Angus Grace and Margaret Grace.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Mattie (MacDonald); his sons, Michael (Alissa) and Brian (Chelsea); his grandchildren, Cade and Aria; his mother Mary Mattie (Grace); his siblings, Angus Mattie (Vallerie), Gary Mattie (Helen), Eleanor DeCoste (Eugene), Danny Mattie (Darlene), Donnie Mattie (Willamina) and Lorraine Brymer (Blair); and his mother-in-law Irene MacDonald. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and four godchildren.
