He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. MacDonald and Florence MacDonald (Decoste); his granddaughter Matti Claire Allison; and his siblings, Rose, Johnny, Jean, Joe, Gertie, Ella Mae, Hank (Gregory), Hilda, Fonce and Clarissa.
He is survived by: his wife Dora (Mattie); his children, Doreen Allison (Michael), Kevin, Darlene Theurer (Eric) and David; his granddaughter Cianna Rose; his stepgrandchildren, Ryan Allison and Mariah Sokolic (Allison); and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Gabriel, Elodie and Beau.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place Church (24 Church St, Mulgrave, NS B0E2G0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church (28 Church St, Mulgrave, NS B0E2G0). A burial was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Lawrence Parish Cemetery (28 Church St, Mulgrave, NS B0E2G0).
The family welcomes donations in memory of Dad to the St. Lawrence CWL Reception Fund or to the Aulds Cove Volunteer Fire Department.
