He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Fitzgerald and Harriet Fitzgerald (Wilkie); his significant other Linda Sutherland; his siblings, Roy, Kelly, Rita, Helen and Anne Marie; and his siblings-in-law, Martin Goodman (Rita), Roger Fraser (Helen), Marcella MacLellan (Roy), Lise Doe (Lloyd) and Audrey Ashford (Kelly).
He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Charlie (Dorthy), Helen and Shane (Amy); his grandchildren, Daniel (Sheryl), Bradley, Linda, Chrissy, David, Justine and Austin; his stepdaughters, Annie, Karen, Patricia and Marie; his brothers, Lloyd, Ariland (Brenda) and Adriel (Amy); and his sister-in-law Peggy. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buchanan Memorial Community Health Centre in Neil's Harbour.
