He was predeceased by : his parents, Carmon Stephen and Bernice Ruth Meisner (Beck); his wife Phyllis May Meisner (Jodrey); his daughter Cathy Meisner; his siblings, June Connell and Carmon Meisner, Jr.; and also Charlie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, or Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany.
