We are sad to announce that, on October 10, 2025, at the age of 95, Shirley Lillian MacKay (New Germany, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene MacLean and Jessie MacLean (MacLean); her siblings, Lloyd, Dewey, Donald, Stanley, Howard, Billy, Harold, Malcolm, Amy, Della, Gladys, Winifred (Harry) and Leilla; her husband Ira Leroy MacKay; her children, Susan and David; her close friend Don MacLeod; and her son-in-law Scott Sarty.
She is survived by: her children, John (Deborah), Richard (Don), Larry (Cheryl) and Paulette (Scott); her grandchildren, Heather (Greg), Julie (Kelly), Matthew (Mellissa), Terese (Neil), Melanie (Barry) and Tanner (Jade); and her great grandchildren, Katie, Vicki, Keallach, Lachlan, Ailie, Cian, Jacob, Jackson, Laila, Wesley, Wyatt, Sawyer, Lailynn and Rowan.
