She was predeceased by: her siblings, Marjorie McNeil, Betty Postlethwaite, Annie Shaughnessy, Ella MacKenzie, May MacKenzie, Alex MacKenzie, Neil MacKenzie and Tommy MacKenzie.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin McKay; her sons, Greg (Hélène) of Halifax, NS and Ian (Judy) of Halifax, NS; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Henry) and Aaron (Sarah); and her sister Margie Boone. She is also survived by 2 great-grandchildren.
A private family burial will take place at the Woodburn Cemetery.In lieu of flowers,.
