With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Bessie Simpson (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her father John Rector; her siblings, Annie (Pat) and John (Chrissy); her brother-in-law Howard; her sons, Robbie and Timmie; and her grandson Brandon.
She is survived by: her mother Verda Rector (Clyburn); her husband Robert Simpson; her children, Johnnie and Tammy; her sister Joan; and her sons, Leo (Arlene), Wayne (Trina), Howie (Melvin) and Arthur. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the R. H. Porter Funeral Home (55 Almont Ave, New Glasgow, NS B2H3G5). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Stellarton Legion.
