He was predeceased by: his parents, William MacKay and Clara MacKay (Rae); his grandparents, Elmer and Anna Rae; his son Ivan Peers; his brothers, Sandy and Sterling; and his sister-in-law Helen MacKay.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Margaret MacKay (Landry); his children, Lisa Smith (Keith) and Lucas MacKay (Randi) of Stratford, P. E. I.; his grandchildren, Terran, Gabriel, Gavyn, Harper, Nathan and Joshua; his great grandchild James; his daughters, Shelly MacDonald (Melvin), Little Harbour and Jennifer Polley (John); his grandchildren, Alisha MacEachern (Kyle) and Aden; his great grandchildren, Nora and Sadie; his siblings, Ann MacNeil, Lee Sibilee (Eric), Kelly Fraser (John), Alta, Strachan MacKay (Karen), Brooklyn and Everett MacKay (Leah); and his sister-in-law Joan MacKay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
