Darla MacLean Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darla MacLean (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), who passed away on May 5, 2026 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Darla MacLean to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Campbell and Nan Campbell; her husband David "Sonny"; her siblings, Shirley MacCulloch (Clifford), Donald Campbell, Nancy Curley and MacLean; her in-laws, Joe, Ducky, Jack, Isabel (Albert), Marion (Frank), Kaye (Jim), Betty (Roddy) and Harvey; and her cousin Donna MacIvor.
She is survived by: her son Glenn (Sherri); her sister Kathy Campbell (Susan); her niece Jill Curley; her sister-in-law Kathy Munroe (MacLean); her in-laws, Bob, Doris, Viola and Pat; and her close friend Sheila MacDonald. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 13th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the R. H. Porter Funeral Home (55 Almont Ave, New Glasgow, NS B2H3G5). A reception will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (390 High St, New Glasgow, NS B2H2X7).
