She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Patrick and Marie Gertrude DeYoung (Mannette); her siblings, Cathy MacPhail and Bert; and her nephews, David DeYoung, Rodney and Jason MacPhail.
She is survived by: her husband John O'Laney; her children, Ashley Marie O'Laney, Jonathan (Catie Brown) and Justin (Phil); her grandchildren, Madison, Breanna, Xena Morrison, David, Katrina, Ellie-May O'Laney and Nathanele Hart; and her siblings, Donna MacDonald (Vince), New Glasgow, Darlene DeYoung, Walter, Willie (Bridget), New Glasgow and Wayne.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the P & K MacDonald Funeral Home Limited Chapel (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3).
