He was predeceased by: his son Scott MacDonald; and his parents, George MacDonald and Margaret MacDonald. He is survived by: his wife Leona (Theriault); his son Kenneth MacDonald; his daughter-in-law Sheri MacDonald of Calgary; his daughter Cindy MacDonald; his son-in-law Patrice Cayer of Calgary; his grandchildren, Ainsley, Nolan MacDonald, Xander and Malia Cayer; and his siblings, Anne Cameron of Antigonish, John McDonald of Halifax and Austin "Aussie" MacDonald of Halifax.
