She was predeceased by: her parents, Betty Heighton and Henry Heighton; her former husband Colin Earle; and her significant other Gary Higgins. She is survived by: her daughter Rebecca; her son-in-law Shawn MacKay; her grandsons, Nolan, Seamus and Rory; her sister Ann Marie; her brother-in-law Dale Murdock; her niece Heather; her nephews, Andrew and Kevin (Gail); her great-niece Kaycee; her great-nephew David; and her aunt Betty MacDonald. She is also survived by many cousins, extended family members, students, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hw Angus Funeral Home (256 King St, New Glasgow, NS B2H4X8). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Hw Angus Funeral Home Chapel (256 King St, New Glasgow, NS B2H4X8). A committal service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Bridgeville Cemetery (3925 E River West Side Rd, Bridgeville, NS B0K1B0).
