We are sad to announce that on April 26, 2026, Elizabeth Hutchinson Sobey (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Donald R. Sobey; her daughter Irene Sobey (Aucoin); and her parents, George Purvis and Elizabeth Purvis (Dewolfe). She is survived by: her sons, Rob (Monique) and Kent (Meghan); her grandchildren, Jane (Logan), Matthew, Connor, Charlie and Josephine; and her great grandchild Nicholas.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home (256 King St, New Glasgow, NS B2H4X8). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Little Harbour Presbyterian Church (5260 Kings Head Road, Little Harbour, NS B2H5C4).
