She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilburn Wyse and Evelyn Wyse (Whalen); her husband Francis Joseph Dorrington; her son-in-law Vannie Taylor III; and her siblings-in-law, Sylvia, Ron Atkinson, Thomas Dorrington and Thurman Jewell.
She is survived by: her children, D. C., Jocelyn, New Glasgow, Cassandra, Cynthia (Wayne Hodgson), Dwight (Mayple), Brampton Ont and Lyndon (Kathleen) of Langley, B. C.; her grandchildren, Nicole, Justin, Jhordan and Nicholas; and her siblings, Gwendolyn, Marlene, Velma (Rayfield), Joanne, Wendell (Lois), Basil (Beverley), Brian and Bruce. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the P & K MacDonald Funeral Home Limited Chapel (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel (536 Merigomish Rd, New Glasgow, NS B2H5E3).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Frances Dorrington to Second United Baptist Church, New Glasgow or Aberdeen Health Foundation Palliative Care Fund.
