We bid farewell to George C. MacDonald of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, born in River John, Nova Scotia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 16, 2025 at the age of 94. George touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gordon MacDonald and Mary Gertrude Rogers; his wife Martha Reid; his daughter Caroline; and his son-in-law Peter.

He is survived by: his son Michael; and his grandchildren, Matt, Lauren, Emily and Katie. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hamilton Cemetery (2026 NS-6, River John, NS B0K1N0).

The family requests donations be made to Canadian Red Cross in George MacDonald's memory.
