She was predeceased by: her parents, David Cameron MacKenzie and Evelyn Stella Irving (MacKenzie); her husband Adrian Joseph Heighton; her daughter Karen Heighton; and her sister June Sharpe.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy (Sasan) and Kim Washburn (Mike); her grandchildren, Laura Washburn, Brianne Washburn (Tahi Fu), N. B., Ryan Washburn (Alexandra), New Glasgow and Erin Washburn (Tom Hatfield); her great grandchild Noah Fu; her aunt Shirley Howes; her son-in-law Alan Sutherland (New Glasgow); and her brother-in-law Fred Heighton (New Glasgow). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
