With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Meagher (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), born in New Waterford, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 29, 2019 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Alexander and Rose Elizabeth MacAskill (Gardiner); her foster parents, Alphonsus O'Neill and Josephine O'Neill; her granddaughter Navi; her son-in-law Foster MacNeil; and her siblings, Tina Reid, Shirley Hodder, Mary Cadman, Katherine "Kaye" Drake, Ronald "Ronnie" MacAskill, Donald "Donnie" MacAskill, John "Junior" MacAskill, Alexander "Alex" MacAskill and Bernie Hutton.
She is survived by: her children, David Meagher (Lana) of Halifax, Debbie DeCoste (Gerard), Cheryl Thompson (Mark), Janine Meagher (Leonard), Fort McMurray and Shelley MacNeil of Fort McMurray; her former husband Stanley Meagher of Murray Corner, N. B.; her grandchildren, Andrea, Keegan, Amanda, Evan, Lindsay, Alex, Riley, David, Carly and Heather; her great grandchildren, Clara, Carter, Tiyana, Presley, Marlee and Rizlea; and her siblings, Helen LaSalle (Marcel) of Stellarton, Dolena Beliwicz, Edward "Eddie" MacAskill (Debbie) of Frankville, Charles "Chuck" MacAskill (Eloise) of Toronto and Anthony Hutton of Frankville.
