With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Charles Weir (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 1, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Donald Weir. He is survived by: his mother Elsie; his siblings, Donna Humphreys (late Sandy) and Terry Weir (Jennifer); his daughters, Melanie Weir, Marjorie Weir (David) and Jourdan Vincent-Weir (Alex); his stepdaughter Lori Hecimovich (Shaun); his son Matt Weir (April); his stepson Chris Hecimovich; his son-in-law Stuart MacLean; his grandchildren, Rahshawn, Charlie, Ben, Keelan, Lewis, Chris, Kenzie, Brooke, Islay and Ella; and his great grandchild Kai.

Donations In place of flowers, donations can be made to the local Canadian Cancer Society or the Woodburn Cemetery. The Angus Funeral home will accept donations to either charity, and the donation will be submitted on your behalf.
