John Leonard Pelley Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Leonard Pelley (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Pelley and Edith Pelley (Davis); and his siblings, Myrtle Hare, Dot MacPherson, Charlie, Joseph Pelley and Kent.

He is survived by: his significant other Debbie Surette of New Glasgow; his stepchildren, Nikki Best (Mike) and Justin Surette (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Chloe, Bianca, Abigail, Shemar and Sister Anne Benoit (Eddy); and his brother-in-law John Hare. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

There will be no service as per John's wishes but a donation in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society if you wish.
