He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Buddy" Strachan and Anna Strachan; and his parents-in-law, Frank and Anela "Nellie" O'Neil. He is survived by: his wife Joanne; his children, Shelley Haynes (Jason) and Michael Strachan (Beverly); his grandchildren, Braden, Taylor, Grace and Kate; his sisters, Rosaline (Richard), Lillian (Frederick), Mary (Richard) and Rhonda; and his siblings-in-law, Judy, Audrey, Laurine, Gerard, Mary-Jane, David, Laurella, Mary and Ken. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church (112 N Foord St, New Glasgow, NS B2H5G7).
