With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce Gardiner (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 18, 2020 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Gardiner to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hugh R. MacDonald and Mary Meech; and her siblings, Hugh, Jude, Theresa and Ann Barbara.

She is survived by : her husband Robert Gardiner (Bob); her daughters, Maureen MacIvor of Little Harbour and Paula Gardiner of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Melissa MacIvor (Brad Holmes) of Edmonton, Angela MacIvor (Jeff Gill), Megan Clarke (Nick) and Dylan MacDonald (Alyson Clayton); and her great grandchildren, Chloe, Harley, Isabella, Adalynn, Isla, Kensley and Declan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you be kind to each other and help those in a vulnerable state during these difficult times.
