It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen Adele Skinner of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, who passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Horton and Rosalie Horton (Campbell); her sister Cynthia (Peter); her brother-in-law Ray; her nephew Steven; her father-in-law Edison Skinner; and her pet Sam.
She is survived by: her husband Bruce; her son Rowan (Enez); her close friend Karen; her stepson Edison; her siblings, Lee (Vic), Catherine, Patricia, Ken (Joanne), James (Susan) and John (Cynthia); her siblings-in-law, Bob (Anna), Peter (Cindy) and Lila (Allan); her siblings' children, Nicole (John), Jennifer (Paul), Angela (Craig), Megan (Russell), Rachel, Willow, Mark (Dyane), Craig (Joanne), Jason (Susan), Brad, Andy (Olivia), Mike (Jenny), Andrew, Michael (Kacey), Nick (Diana), Richard, Riley, Johnny, Jeffrey and Justin; and her mother-in-law Jean Skinner (Ozzy).
Donations in memory of Karen Skinner may be made to the palliative care unit at the Aberdeen Hospital.
