It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Matilda Ouellette (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), who passed away on August 16, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Edward and Elizabeth Margaret George (Ryder); her husband William Joseph "Bill" Ouellette; her daughter Kay George; her grandchildren, Shayna Paschal and John Joseph Fitt; her siblings, Mary Landry, Rose Mason, Emma Feltmate, Jessie Dort, Gibby, Lawrence, Coleman and Clarence George; and her sons-in-law, Edward Fitt and Howard Á Hearn.
She is survived by: her children, Leona Fitt (Plymouth), Lillian Gerrior (Hillside), Mary Ouellette, Rose Marie Ryan (Churchville), Jenny Haggart (Sandy), Jean Pitts (Lovat), Cathy Fogarty (Hillside) and William "Billy" Ouellette (Sherri); and her siblings, Elsie David and Freddy George. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; seven great, great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
