Michael Gurney Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 11, 2025, Michael Gurney (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie and Margaret (Dolly); his brother Bobby; and his brother-in-law Bobby Kyle. He is survived by: his significant other Jean Pearcey; his stepdaughter Emily Gillis (Kevin Day); his grandchildren, Layla and Alec; his siblings, Eddie (Jean), Joey (Cindy), Ricky (Caroline), Jerry (Martha), Kathy Kyle and Fred (Barbara); and his caregiver Susan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
