She was predeceased by : her parents, Bruce Smith and Mary Claudine Smith (Hodgson); her husband Elmer MacPherson; her siblings, Wilma Gibson (Hugh), Bruce and Arden; her nephew Donald; and her great-niece Shawna Mason.
She is survived by : her brother Marland "Bud" (Doris); her nieces and nephews, Cathy Gibson (Scott), Sharon Spence (Coleman), Linda Mason, Jimmy, MacKay, John, Larry and Elmer; and her great-nephews, Hunter, Nick and Ryan.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Pictou County SPCA, Trinity United Church or C.A.R.M.A. (Cat, Rescue).
