She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lloyd and Margaret Mary Spanks (Forrestal); her son Preston Lochead; her brother Dennis Spanks; and her half-brothers, Billy and Jimmy Dean.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Leese, Harvey Lochead, Alex Lochead (Kim) and Wayne Spanks (Naomi); and her brothers, Kenny Spanks, Gary Spanks and Barry Spanks. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Lung Association.
