Viola Marie Embree Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Viola Marie Embree (New Glasgow, Nova Scotia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 26, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Viola Large (Millard) and Herbert Large; her brother Allen; and her sisters-in-law, Violet and Jeanine.
She is survived by: her daughters, Edith Selwyn-Smith (Keith), Truro Heights, Shelley Pos (David) and Green Hill; her granddaughters, Jennifer (Sunny Yau) and Melanie (Lloyd White); and her siblings, Berton Truro (Beatrice), Wayne Truro (Jeanette) and Kathleen Chivers.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home (256 King St, New Glasgow, NS B2H4X8). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Pictou United Church (47 James St, Pictou, NS B0K1H0).
