He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Withers and Charlotte Withers; and his sister Norma Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Marie; his daughter Susan Lynn Hughes (John); his grandchildren, Jonathan (Emily) and Brianna (Justin); his great grandchild Jackson Hughes; his siblings, Sharon Couse (late Dean), Susan Richard (Glen Sponagle), Gary Withers (late Shirley) and Allan Withers (Bernadette); and his sister-in-law Marion Hayden (late Jack).
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 25th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the H. W. Angus Funeral Home (256 King St, New Glasgow, NS B2H4X8).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow, the VON Home Support or a charity of your choice.
