Leo Boyd wrote a sympathy message

“Willie and I served together in Soest, West Germany in the 1960's. He was a good friend to me, helped me with rides to work and him and Evelyn babysat for us on occasion. He was always in a good mood and funny when he wanted to be. I will miss him everyday, he was like a brother to me, he had more years of experience than I did and he shared his knowledge with me. Margo and I send our deepest condolences to Evelyn and his family.”
