He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Mary Smith (Warr) of New Haven; his wife Eleanor; his siblings, Everett, Stuart, Fred, Johnny, Clifford, Winnie, Miriam and Rosie; and his nephews, Charlie, Kelvin and Douglas.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melvina Smith (Steven) and Anne-Marie MacLeod (Kevin) of Neil's Harbour; his sisters, Mary Belle Rogers and Ann Brown; and his grandson Dylan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
