It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edna Winnifred Phelan of New Minas, Nova Scotia, born in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 25, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Percy Waite Shaw and Hazel Agnes (Reeves); her husband Donald Bishop Phelan; her son William Paul "Billy" Phelan; and her siblings, William "Bill" Shaw (Dot), Blake Shaw (Dot), Edith "Edie" Shaw, Johnny Shaw and Carl Shaw.
She is survived by : her children, JoAnne Bezanson (Ron), Donald Richard "Rick" Phelan (Patti) and Mary Jane Phelan (Albert); her grandchildren, Lisa Andrew (John), Troy Bezanson, Amanda Fredericks (Nathan) and Ashley Mahoney (Adam); her great grandchildren, Ella (Ben), Sarah, Isabella, Isaiah (Shailan), Ezra, Daisy, Emmy, Jakob, Drake and Elliot; and her great great grandchildren, Nima, Kian and Anneliese. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
