He was predeceased by : his parents, Alan Keirstead and Marjorie Keirstead (Sainsbury); and his brother Randall. He is survived by : his children, Letty and Gregory; his grandchildren, Patricia (Richard) and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Logan and Heidi; his siblings, Bonnie (Karen) and Robin (Cathy); and his close friend Marilyn.

Donations in memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
