He was predeceased by: his wife Rosalie Jean Olmstead (Corners); and his parents, Maurice Edward Olmstead and Frances Jean Olmstead (Veinott). He is survived by: his son Dana Leon Olmstead; his daughter-in-law Carrie Lee Olmstead (Gillis); his grandchildren, Mitchell Scott Olmstead and Lee-Ann Phyllis Olmstead; and his siblings, Wallace Olmstead and Valerie Leniham (Olmstead).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Christ Anglican Church (4 Forties Rd, New Ross, NS B0J2M0). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
