Deborah Ann Beaudry Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and beautiful memories that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and godmother, Deborah "Debbie" Ann Beaudry (née Hogan), age 61, of New Waterford, Nova Scotia, on April 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at the Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital after her courageous but short battle with cancer.

Born in New Waterford on September 19, 1964, Debbie was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Cornelius Hogan, and stepdaughter of the late Thomas Hogan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her cherished son, Yvon Beaudry, and her sister, Donna (Hogan) Belvin.

Debbie leaves behind her loving children, François "Franky" and Brittany (Trevor). She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Isabella, Lola, and little Franky, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

She is also survived by her siblings: Tommy (Brenda), Angus, Jimmy, Adele, and Kelly, all of New Waterford; Ivy (Wally) Lonzinski and Judy (Al) Mullins of Toronto; and Minnie (Robert) Tellum of Sydney.

Debbie dedicated her life to her family, always putting her children first and providing for them with unwavering love and strength. She worked for many years at Mickey D's in New Waterford, where she was well known and appreciated. Debbie had a vibrant personality and a love for life. She enjoyed being social and formed many meaningful friendships along the way.

She held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and goddaughters Angela (Jarret) & Deborah Hogan. Debbie also shared a particularly close bond with her niece and goddaughter Natasha (Darren) and niece Karen. She also treasured her friendship with Krystle Grezel and her "little buddy," Jackson Grezel.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to her brother Tommy and sister-in-law Brenda for their compassionate care and support during Debbie's illness. We also wish to thank the staff and doctors at the cancer centre, Dr. Khalid, palliative care nurse Vikki, and VON for the exceptional care provided.

In keeping with Debbie's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of McLellan Funeral Home, and there will be no visitation. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
