With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Greg J. Chiasson (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 17, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Henriette Anne (Poirier); his wife Laurie; his brothers, Gussie and Danny; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Spencer and Larry Campbell.
He is survived by: his father Joseph Simon Chiasson; his children, Catherine of Douglas, MA, Patsy (Robert), Hillier (New Waterford) and Brian (Heather) of Douglas, MA; his grandchildren, Robie, Bret, Mackenna and Zachary; his siblings, Stanley (Ursula), Anne Marie Powell (Don), Francis (Mary), Hubert (Helen), New Waterford, Rose Campbell, Arlene Gillis (Dannie), Mira and Doreen Holmgren (John); his friends, Eddie O'Quinn and Cathy Chiasson; Kelly. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:25 AM at the Parish Church of St. Leonard Mount Carme (3180 Mt Carmel Ave, New Waterford, NS B1H4E4). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Remembrance & Fellowship (495 Smith St, New Waterford, NS B1H4K4).
