John Thomas MacPherson Obituary
The memory of John Thomas MacPherson (New Waterford, Nova Scotia), who passed away on September 21, 2025 at the age of 71, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Red" MacPherson and Winnifred "Winnie" Brushett; his wife Cynthia (MacKay); his brother Donald "Danny"; his mother-in-law Catherine MacKay; and his brother-in-law Eddy MacLean.
He is survived by: his children, Redmond and Erica (Darrell); his sisters, Doreen Rankin (Bernie) and Cheryl MacLean; and his grandchildren, Ember and Emmett. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carme (3180 Mt Carmel Ave, New Waterford, NS B1H4E4). A reception was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Remembrance & Fellowship (495 Smith St, New Waterford, NS B1H4K4).
If desired, memorial donations may be made to the local food bank in memory of Jake and Cynthia.
