He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Steiger and Cleo Steiger (McDonald); his wife Joanne; and his grandchildren, Alauna and Cayson.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Cheryl; his children, Wayne Jr., Chris (Pam), Shane (Deanna) and Tanya (Jermaine); his siblings, David (Betty) and Brenda McEachern (Tuddie); his siblings-in-law, Charlie, Abel Reid and Rozie O'Neill; his grandchildren, Brady, Colby, Cody, Bella, Mireya, Patrick, Jacob, Jack, Sidney, Akaysia and Abbianna; and his partner's children, Amanda (Eddie), Jennifer (Matthew) and John (Shyloe). He is also survived by her grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McLellan Funeral Home (3188 Plummer Ave, New Waterford, NS B1H4K4). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Parish Church of St. Leonard Mount Carme (3180 Mt Carmel Ave, New Waterford, NS B1H4E4). A reception will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Remembrance & Fellowship (495 Smith St, New Waterford, NS B1H4K4).
