He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Parker and Winnifred Parker (Reynolds) of Upper Burlington; his siblings, Calvin Parker (Buddy) and Maxine Gillott; his brother-in-law Bill Gillott; and his nephew Greg Gillott of Upper Burlington.

He is survived by: his children, Nathan (Holly) of Yarmouth, Jeremy, Andrea of Brooklyn and Hannah (Betty) of Hantsport; his brother William (Alice) of Bedford; and his nieces and nephews, Donna, Kevin, Steven, Darlene, Danny, Anne-Marie, John, Melissa, Adam, James, Michelle and Andrew.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Garnet's memory may be made to 9-Lives Cat Rescue, Sandy Land Cemetery (Cogmagun), or Matthew 25: Windsor and District Food Bank.
