It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Verna Babb of North Preston, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 1, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cain and Dora Cain; and her siblings, Jarvis, James, Ronny, Angus, Elliot, Margorie, Vinnie and Pearl.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carey Cain and Charmaine Babb-Williams; her grandchildren, Durrell Cain, Chandell Cain, Jaylen Babb-Harrison, Chauncy Babb-Williams, Alexia Cain, Kirsten Cain, Myamie Babb-Williams and Tsifira Babb-Williams; her great grandchild Sariah Babb-Harrison; her siblings, Yvonne, Rhoda, Evelyn, Jennifer, Violet, Abby, Melvin, Louis, Steven, Bobby, Wayne, Purcell and Raymond; her close friends, Shirley Mae, Linda and Vivian Cain Oldest; and her aunt Ethel.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Thomas Baptist Church (35 Simmonds Rd, North Preston, NS B2Z1A3). A burial will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the St Tomas Baptist Church Cemetery (780 Upper Governor St, North Preston, NS B2Z1A2).
