She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Williams and Vivian Williams (Reashore); her son Michael Gardiner; her sister Flo Pero (Langelle); her former husband Albert Gardiner; and her husband Fred Hopkins.

She is survived by: her children, Roy Gardiner (Nancy) and Erin Hopkins; her grandson James (Pyrrha); her great grandchildren, Cora and Logan; and her sister Vee Pye (Johnny). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Anne Frances D'intino and the entire staff at Hospice Cape Breton for their excellent care and compassion, and further encourage donations to be made there in Anne Marie's memory.
