He was predeceased by: his parent John Collins; his wife Margaret Collins (Barry); and his siblings, Gordon, Martha, Daisy, Violet, Elsie and Joan.
He is survived by: his parent Lillian Collins (Miles); his stepchildren, Joanne Pendergast (Brian), Kenny Mountney (Darlene) and Lloyd Mountney (Georgette); his grandchildren, Laura Lee, Susan, Sean, Bliss and Melissa; and his sister Shirley Spears. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren and his last surviving sibling.
Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
