It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Alexander Oickle (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on July 29, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Oickle and Rebecca Oickle (MacKenzie); his wife Patsy Oickle; his son John Alex Parks; and his siblings, James "Jimmy" Oickle, Walter Myers, Dorothy and Joy Oickle.

He is survived by : his daughter Tanya Oickle (Jaspal); his grandchildren, Andrew Oickle, Devyani, Simryn, Jevyn Mancoo, John, Christopher, Stephanie Timbury, Brianna and Dylan Parks; his stepgrandchildren, Jenna, Kristin, Robert, Kyle, Emily, Ryan and Justin Reynolds; his sisters, Donna Anderson (John) and Betty Lou Gullage (Robert); and his caregivers, Carol Tanner and Crista Gullage.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and Hospice Palliative Care Society.
