It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Drake (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Earl Drake to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Levi Drake and Verena "Irene" Drake (Banfield); his sons, George Drake (Jennifer) and Garfield Drake (Shannon); his wife Helen; his stepdaughter Helene Finlayson; his grandson Baby Danny Christie; his sisters, Mira Selieg, Maude Myron and Phyllis Peach; and his friend John Pinaud.

He is survived by : his daughter Leah Mertens (Hubert); his stepchildren, Janie Dunphy (Donnie), Alex Finlayson (Lynn), Wendy Abbott (Pearce), Sandra Anderson (Alex), Kathy Dupont (Sandy), Dorothy DiPaolo (Martin), Danny Finlayson (Nicole) and Johnena Finlayson (Chuck); his grandchildren, Stephen, Kyle, Roan, Erin, Breton, Cole, Donnie, Jolene, Christopher, Devin, Jordan, Jennifer, Amy, Cassidy, Allie, Jeff, Daniela, Luca, Raylene, Kendra and Emily; and his close friends, Bud Pero, Frankie and Arnie Verschuren. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
