We are sad to announce that, on January 20, 2026, at the age of 87, Ellen Penney of North Sydney, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jessome and Mary Anne Jessome (Marsh); her husband Ambrose "Bud" Penney; and her siblings, Bridget Cox, Marguerite Jamieson, Mary O'Hanlon, Anna Leblanc, Madonna Annesty, Reginald "Reg", Ignatius "Naish", Dennis "Dinny", Thomas, William "Willie" Russell, John A. and Robert Emmett Jessome.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Penney and Steven Penney (Janice); her siblings, Isabelle Taylor and Earl Jessome (Gertie); her grandchildren, James, Sarah (Jared), Stephanie and Matthew; and her goddaughter Caroline Cox. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
