It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Forrest (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 14, 2018, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Mary Matilda (MacDonald); his wife Anna Eileen (Phalen); his parent-in-law Leo Phalen; his siblings, Angus "Pally", James "Pally", John "Pally", Libby and Dorothy; his sons-in-law, Rean Evans and Jason Keeping; and also Euphemia Phalen.
He is survived by: his parent George Forrest; his children, Monica Ann Walsh (Kenny) of North Sydney, Leo Forrest of North Sydney, Georgina Watson (Brian) of North Sydney, Karen Forrest (John Seaman) of North Sydney, Rhonda Forrest of North Sydney, Blair Forrest (Debbie) of North Sydney, Wayne Forrest (Shirley) of North Sydney, Julie Keeping (David) of North Sydney, Albert Forrest (Jennifer), Michelle Forrest (Dwayne), Joseph Woods (Rosemary) and Sydney Mines; his grandchildren, Lee, Kiana, Kendra, Terrilynn, Kimberly, Caelin, Michael, Shannon, Brody, Ethan, Josh, Kristen, Gracie, Owen, Fabian Woods and Richie Newman; his siblings, Bessie Pardy of Florence, NS, Margaret Phillipo, Catherine Hurridge, Sydney Mines and Sidney Forrest; and his daughter-in-law Janice Eady. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
