It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Lillian Anderson (North Sydney, Nova Scotia), born in Petites, Newfoundland, who passed away on April 14, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Robert Gosse and Jenny Gosse (Billard); her husband Fred; and her siblings, Harold, Ritchie, Anne, Sybil and Claira.

She is survived by : her children, Ruth Swyer (Melvin), Joan Boutilier (Eric), Becky Penny (Lorne), Sam (Tammy) and Freddy (Jennifer White); and her sisters, Gayle Farrow and Joyce Kerr of Farmington, USA. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the W. J. Dooley Funeral Home (107 Pleasant St, North Sydney, NS B2A1L9). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the W. J. Dooley Funeral Home Chapel (107 Pleasant St, North Sydney, NS B2A1L9).
